Apply for a Diversity scholarship/ Opportunity Ticket

NodeConf EU are offering a scholarship program whereby individuals can apply for an opportunity ticket that will cover the cost of your attendance plus some or all of your transport and accommodation costs. The deadline for application is Friday 16th August 2019 and successful applicants will be notified by Friday 13th September 2019.

Our goal is first and foremost to try and raise the diversity of attendees at the conference and to provide more opportunities for individuals from underrepresented groups in tech to attend.

Anyone from an underrepresented group in tech is invited to apply for a scholarship. This includes, but is not limited to: women, people of colour, LGBTQIA+ people, people with a disability, and people facing economic or social hardships.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the people and companies who help make this happen. Without their donations, we would not be in a position to offer this opportunity.

If you would like to contribute towards a diversity ticket, you can add a donation when purchasing tickets to attend or email us at events@nearform.com to discuss.

Hi {Insert Your Boss’s Name},

I’d like to attend NodeConf EU which takes place from 10th-13th November in Kilkenny, Ireland. From the research I have done, this is the top Node conferences in Europe.

The conference will feature 30 speakers who are hand picked based on their contribution and level of innovation within the Node.js community. It’s attended by 300 developers from the Node.js community so it offers a fantastic opportunity to network, share ideas and hopefully build partnerships with people who may be important for our business in the future.

The conference appears to be designed to optimise attendee learning via hands on workshops across the 3 days. Here are some of the topics that will be discussed:

  • {Enter some talks or workshops you feel are relevant to your job or company!}

From the research I have done, I have no doubt that the conference will help me to develop my skills with Node and Javascript, but also help me learn how best to adopt the technology into our business, lead to faster release times and a more unified IT team. I will be happy to produce a post conference report and present it to other members of the team to ensure we get the most out of my attendance.

Tickets are €799 each. I assure you it will pay for itself many times over.

Best Wishes,

{Your Name}
